Dr. Krishnamoorthy (Subbu) Subramanian is the founder and President of STIMS Institute, USA. Prior to STIMS Institute, Dr. Subramanian served as the Director, Surface Preparation Technology at Norton Abrasives and later at Saint-Gobain Co. He has published extensively in the technical and management related topics. He holds 15 patents with several in commercial use.
Dr. Subramanian is the year 2020 recipient of the coveted Merchant Medal for Manufacturing jointly awarded by ASME and SME.

Former Professor at IIT Madras and IIST Trivandrum, his specialization is in Manufacturing and Metrology and he pioneered teaching and research in Metrology in the country.
An elected Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), the Institution of Engineers (India), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), USA and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), London. He served in many responsible positions in other Organizations and Government Departments
